What is a WebRTC Leak?

WebRTC (Web Real-Time Communication) is a technology that enables peer-to-peer communication in web browsers. However, it can sometimes leak your real IP address even when using a VPN. A WebRTC leak occurs when websites can see your actual IP address through WebRTC connections, bypassing your VPN protection. This can happen if your browser's WebRTC settings are not properly configured or if your VPN doesn't block WebRTC traffic.
